Masquerade Balls

The week has been a lot of work and I’m catching on to the job pretty good. I’m learning the drinks, getting used to the language barrier (nobody here speaks french lol). These Americans are the real thing lol, sometimes it’s hard to understand what they say with the music playing loud and so many new drinks — and even alcohol I’ve never heard about in Canada.

Last Friday was a new night at Johnnys called Fierce Fridays - and Saturday was the masquerade ball. All the dancers and staff were wearing masks lol and some had costumes. It was pretty funny and it’s every Saturday.

Halloween is coming soon, and I stuill haven;t decided on a costume. The bar took pictures of the event Saturday and I’ll post pics when I get them. Hope to post more often very soon but as you can tell, it is a total education getting settled, even if it’s temporary XOXOX

Hi Ralph. I was looking at the Johnny’s Bar stuff and almost forgot to post to you. LOL I hope that you are enjoying Florida. You are surely very busy. I was thinking of you today and how it must be hard to be hearing all that English and not much French. Is that hard? You are bi-lingual I know but still you must miss the French a little. But surely you don’t miss the increasing cold. Enjoy your days off and getting settled. I send you warmest hugs.

All my love - Mark from PA
